Taste Awards
The Inaugural Taste Awards 2011 held at Tribe Hotel on 1st December recognized local dining and entertainment in Nairobi in 26 categories, and theTamarind Group came away with four awards, affirming the high standards set by the group.

New Dawa Bar opens at Carnivore
The Carnivore has opened it new ‘Dawa Bar’ designed by the talented Ojay Hakim, formerly of African Heritage. The stunning new bar offers an ideal environment for a pre dinner Dawa to tantalize your taste buds before your big feast! The expanded repertoire now includes Tequila, Rum, and Brandy Dawas, but undoubtedly the hottest new addition is the Chilli Dawa! We recommend you try them all, but probably not on the same night!
 

The Annual Mike Dunford fishing competition will be held on 17 March 2012 at Tamarind Village. 2011 saw a record turn out of 18 boats and the competition was won by Hugh Walters and his son Justin

CARNIVORE 
Still going strong with a high energy atmosphere depicting the enthusiasm of Kenya. In case you haven’t noticed we have implemented some upgrades injecting a certain pizzazz into the atmosphere.  In addition a new dawa bar is about to open so watch this space.

Though unable to serve a range of game meat we have introduced some exotic offering such as ox balls and camel and these have become popular. We believe that, with your support, the attentive friendly service that is our trade mark, as well as the distinctive flavours of the consistently mouth watering meat we serve will continue to attract millions more carnivores as the years go by!

TAMARIND NAIROBI
Tamarind still serves up fine seafood and though the traffic can sometimes be a challenge, we are accommodating in our timing and will always remain open until late to cater for the traffic snarl ups prevalent in Nairobi today.

Although closed on Sunday, we are flexible and will remain open for  groups of over 20.  You can even take over the private dining room on any night for groups of up to 20.

TAMARIND MOMBASA
Often described as the best seafood restaurant on the coast, it also has a private dining room which comfortably seats 40 and has it own terrace which provides the special ambience of the Tamarind Mombasa in privacy . An ideal space for conferences, private dinners, family parties etc.

TAMAMBO KAREN
Popular for visitors touring the sites of Karen and wishing to avoid traffic into town, Tamambo Karen is a lovely option particularly with its gorgeous garden for alfresco dining and the different restaurant areas to choose from. 

TAMARIND VILLAGE
Very convenient for guests who enjoy a home from home environment and  also an ideal solution for those staying on the north and south coast and would like to dine at Tamarind or Tamarind Dhow, but are reluctant to tackle the night transport. 

TAMAMBO BAR AND GRILL
You might have heard the “mambo” and yes it is true, Tamambo in the Mall is relocating to a completely redesigned and uprgraded Tamambo Tapas Bar in Village Market. It will then become Tamambo Bar and Grill.

OUTSIDE CATERING
Tamarind Kitchens’ the Tamarind Group’s outside catering arm can provide a wide choice of outside catering functions. We can cater out of any of our units whether it be Carnivore, Tamarind Nairobi or  Tamambo (Village Market or Karen Blixen)
